Melodie Powers has a unique role at Concordia Plans. As an Account Manager, instead of serving ministries in specific LCMS Districts, she assists large employers including Concordia universities and seminaries, LCMS International Center entities, Office of International Mission, LCMS International Schools, LCEF, Concordia Publishing House, Lutheran Hour Ministries, Good Shepherd Community in Minnesota, and Lutheran Haven in Florida.
 
During her nearly 20 years with CPS, Melodie served as the Director of Health Plans and Services before becoming part of the Ministry Engagement Team.
 
Melodie earned a Master of Arts in Human Resources Development from Webster University and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial & Organizational Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. She is a licensed Life, Accident and Health Insurance Producer.
 
She has three grown sons and has been blessed with three grandchildren. Melodie dedicates a lot of her time to helping animals by working with animal welfare and rescue groups. She opens her home to foster animals that join her own dogs, cats and birds.

Miriam Herrera has a unique role with the Ministry Engagement Team. As an Account Representative, she works with LCMS ministries across the country with four or fewer full-time workers enrolled in Concordia Plans.
 
Miriam joined the CPS team more than 10 years ago. You may recognize her friendly voice, as she spent nine years helping members as part of Customer Care before being promoted to her current role helping ministries.
 
Miriam and her husband have been blessed with three children. When she has free time, she taps into her artistic side, by drawing and crafting.
