Random acts of kindness are good for the heart
Did you know that people who participate in acts of kindness can divert attention away from their own depression and anxiety symptoms, providing temporary relief.* It also was discovered that acts of kindness can increase happiness and self-esteem while decreasing stress and emotional reactivity.
An act of kindness can:
- ✓ Decrease stress.
- ✓ Boost happiness.
- ✓ Lower blood pressure.
- ✓ Release “feel good” chemicals (serotonin, oxytocin).
- ✓ Inspire more kindess (a good thing to be contagious).
