Preparing employers for 2022 CRSP 403(b) Spring Enrollment
Your ministry is blessed with a dedicated team of workers carrying out service to God’s people. As an employer, you’re helping your workers build a secure retirement by providing the Concordia Retirement Plan (pension). You can help your workers do their part by supporting their participation in the Concordia Retirement Savings Plan 403(b).
Based on last year’s success, we’re holding a special event this Spring to encourage new and increased participation among workers in the CRSP.
To prepare you for this CRSP Spring Enrollment period (March 1-18), join our webinar Feb. 15 at 1 p.m. CT. This webinar will provide you with details about the 2022 CRSP 403(b) Spring Enrollment:
Key information defining what it means to be on-track for a secure retirement and how saving in the CRSP helps achieve these goals.
An overview of CRSP Spring Enrollment, including a timeline and samples of worker communications.
A review of your responsibilities as an employer offering the CRSP.
A demo of the CRSP Service Center through 90 Degree Benefits (formerly EBSO).
On Jan. 13, the Supreme Court granted an injunction against the Biden Administration's mandate that requires employers with 100 or more workers to either create a policy mandating vaccines for all employees or create a policy offering employees the option of vaccination or testing and masking. The court indicated those trying to stop this mandate, which has commonly been referred to as the OSHA mandate, are likely to succeed. There is currently no requirement for a vaccination or testing and masking policy for these employers.
The mandate for federal contractors is currently put on hold per the court and is not being enforced until further action by the court. The Supreme Court did uphold the policy that requires vaccinations for most health care workers at facilities that receive Medicare and Medicaid funds.
Visit our COVID-19 resources website for the latest updates on the mandates and how they may impact your ministry.
HealthEquity portal information
In December we held a webinar for ministries transitioning to HealthEquity for personal spending accounts that explained the HealthEquity employer portal. If you were unable to attend this webinar, we encourage you to watch the recording here.
Please note: your employer account through HealthEquity will only be created after at least one worker has elected a PSA and completed the verification process. When this is complete, you’ll be sent your HealthEquity employer portal login credentials within 7 business days.
It’s W-2 time
As an employer, it’s your responsibility to prepare W-2 forms and provide these documents to employees on or before Feb. 1, 2022. Additional copies must be sent to the Social Security Administration so employees' tax returns can be verified.
On demand webinar: Employer guide to wellness benefits
Concordia Plans offers several wellness programs designed to help identify and conquer various health challenges. These programs are available to enrolled health plan members – at no extra cost. Learn more about these programs and how employers can help connect members to the tools and resources that support their wellness.
All workers that were in the Concordia Health Plan during 2021 will receive a Form 1095-B. These are sent every year, but we want to remind you that this tax document is nothing you need to address. If your workers ask, please let them know their copies are coming soon!
Upcoming member communications
Here’s a snapshot of the emails we’ll send your workers this month (they may also receive additional communications from our vendors):
The January Benefits Connector email and mailer invites members to get to know their 2022 benefits. These segmented emails and mailers go to members based on their enrollments and eligibilities. A value-added component to the mailers this year is an ID card sleeve that can hold members’ medical, dental, vision and prescription cards all in one place.
Vitality Webinar: “Bust out of Bronze” webinar
Educator Megan Sherman equips members to reach Silver in the next 30 days, as well as helps already engaged members learn about the opportunity to earn Vitality Points by mentoring a Bronze-status member. She will also cover new ways to redeem rewards via the Marketplace and how to become a Wellness Champion.
