Introducing the CPS Ministry Advisory Council: Shaping a brighter future by walking together
At Concordia Plans, our dedication to continuous improvement is embodied in our philosophy of “Ask. Listen. Act.” In line with this commitment, we're excited to announce the CPS Ministry Advisory Council, a group dedicated to taking an “outside-in approach” to understand the experience of our ministries. This dynamic council is comprised of 25 ministries, representing perspectives across churches, schools, district offices and universities.
Throughout the year this group will convene virtually to discuss various topics, and their collective knowledge will play a pivotal role in enhancing our services for all ministries and members. We’re grateful for those volunteering their time to serve on the council. Stay tuned for updates as we chart a course towards an even brighter future.
Reminder: Stop CRSP 403(b) contributions for a terminated worker
If you terminate a worker who is enrolled in the Concordia Retirement Savings Plan (CRSP) 403(b) with recurring contributions, you’ll need to stop the recurring contributions in 90 Degree Benefits. This isn’t an automatic process.
Stop recurring contributions for your terminated worker:
Scroll to the bottom of the page to select a worker.
Click on “Edit” next to the worker’s name.
Remove the check from the “No End Date” box and enter the last pay date for the worker.
Click on “Save.”
Note: if the worker’s final payroll date has already passed, instead of editing the CRSP 403(b) contribution, click on “Delete” next to the worker’s name to stop future contributions.
If you need assistance regarding refunds from a terminated worker, please contact the CPS CRSP Team at 888-927-7526, ext. 6008.
Additional eSign forms available
Over the past several months we have continued to add eSign forms to our form library, including those covering enrollment, status changes, adoptions and elections. We’re hearing positive feedback that electronic forms are easy to use, save time (no more printing and scanning) and can be securely submitted to Concordia Plans. ESign forms are on our Employer Forms webpage.

Financial Wellness Corner
The “Financial Wellness Corner” is a new feature in our newsletter designed to share valuable tips, showcase resources and offer insights on financial education. Our goal is to provide you with the tools and knowledge that will help you support your workers on their financial wellness journey.
Join CPS financial educators Amy Klein and Leslie Rudzinski for the “Retirement Planning” webinar Feb. 15. The workshop will cover:
The Concordia Retirement Plan pension benefits.
Financial planning tools and resources available through CPS.
Updated Personal Statement of Benefits available on the Member Portal
Members of Concordia Plans can access their Personal Statement of Benefits (PSOB), a comprehensive summary of their individual benefits, in their Member Portal. Their PSOB is updated quarterly and includes the benefits the member is enrolled in, such as:
Projected value of pension benefits from the Concordia Retirement Plan.
Disability income replacement benefits.
Basic Life Insurance benefit amount.
Concordia Retirement Savings Plan 403(b) balance.
Concordia Health Plan benefits summary.
Note: The benefits shown are based on the total compensation amount provided on the Annual Compensation Reports.
The PSOB serves as an invaluable tool, offering insight into the combined value of pay and benefits. Understanding this breakdown can help your workers appreciate their entire benefits package. The PSOB can be accessed in the Communication Center on the Member Portal.Click here for an example of the PSOB.
Encourage your workers to log in to their Member Portal Communication Center to review their updated PSOB.
Tell your workers about Form 1095-B
All workers who were enrolled in the Concordia Health Plan during 2023 will receive a Form 1095-B. These forms are sent every year, but we want to remind you this tax document is nothing you need to address. If your workers ask, please let them know their copies will arrive soon.
Upcoming member communications
Here’s a snapshot of the emails we’ll send your workers this month (they may also receive additional communications from our vendors):
Meet a Financial Educator Event
We’re holding a special Meet-a-Financial-Educator event Feb. 5-8, where workers can make one-on-one virtual appointments with an educator to discuss financial and retirement planning.
Concordia Health Plan members are invited to participate in a survey regarding their health benefits. This study will be sent around Feb. 6 and is designed to help us understand what members know about their benefits, as well as how they feel about them.
Quantum Health
No time to wait? Registering now for Quantum Health means CHP members are ready to use all that Quantum has to offer, including the schedule-a-call feature using the Quantum app.
Random Acts of Kindness
We’re encouraging members to shine their light by spreading kindness and love, especially during “Random Acts of Kindness Week” Feb. 11-17. During these seven days, aim for one random act of kindness each day.
