While saving for retirement isn’t a game, it's a little like being on a game show. Workers may be unsure about making a decision, but they’ll need to take action, because before they know it – BUZZ – they’ll be out of time. Our Concordia Retirement Savings Plan 403(b) Spring Enrollment is March 1-18, and this event is dedicated to helping workers save and prepare for retirement.
To encourage your CRSP eligible workers* to save, we’re sending them information in a mailer and emails about the benefits of saving. Information also will be available on the member portal and website. Sure, your workers can start saving any time or they can start saving now.
What can you do as an employer?
Register for our “CRSP 403(b) Spring Enrollment” webinar Feb. 15 at 1 p.m. CT to learn more about the CRSP Spring Enrollment campaign and how to help workers get on-track for a secure retirement. We’ll also walk through the CRSP Service Center by 90 Degree Benefits (formerly EBSO).
We care about your workers and want them to feel confident to start saving (or increase their savings). Together, we can help your workers find the winning strategy for the retirement they’ve always pictured!
*Part-time workers are excluded from this campaign. Workers at ministries not offering the CRSP also will be excluded.
Not offering the CRSP 403(b) but want to learn more?
The CRSP 403(b) provides your workers a flexible and dependable way to save for their retirement. Reach out to your Account Manager or visit ourCRSP 403(b) webpage for more details.
New employer resource: ‘Welcoming a Worker Toolkit’
Adding a new worker to your ministry family is exciting. Striking a balance between making sure new workers are well-informed but not overwhelmed is key in helping them feel welcome. Many employers have asked for help in this area, so we’ve created the “Welcoming a Worker Toolkit,” a collection of tools and new hire materials to help you with the onboarding process.
Join us for a webinar March 15 at 1 p.m. CT where we’ll review the toolkit, walk through the resources available to you and your workers and share onboarding best practices. We hope you can make it!
Webinar: ‘5 Ways Churches and Ministries Stumble in Payroll Practices’
Churches and ministries have unique rules when it comes to payroll. Layering these unusual rules on top of a complicated and highly regulated area of finance can be dangerous for ministries and potentially their leadership! Don’t write a check to the IRS for payroll mistakes or pass the debt burden to your church leadership as individuals. It is critical to understand the special rules regarding ministers, fringe benefit plans and tax deposit requirements to avoid adverse consequences.
Join Elaine Sommerville, author of “Church Compensation: From Strategic Plan to Compliance,” for a webinar March 29 at 1 p.m. CT where she’ll discuss the top five areas that churches and ministries stumble, potentially creating these adverse consequences, and discuss ways to institute corrective actions to avoid serious falls in the future.
We heard your request for a safe, convenient and easy way to access your invoices. Don’t forget, you can now view and download invoices directly from your employer portal. When you log in, you’ll see an invoice card on the dashboard where you can:
Select the billing month you’d like to view and click “Apply.”
Click on the link to view the invoice.
View, print or save a PDF of your invoice (which will open in a separate window).
What can your workers do in 5 minutes? Register for Grand Rounds by Included Health.
In less than five minutes workers enrolled in the Concordia Health Plan can register for Grand Rounds by Included Health and immediately have on-demand access to high quality care and convenience. But they can’t access their Grand Rounds personal health care assistant unless they register.
Once they’re registered, they’ll be ready to access their no-extra-cost Grand Rounds benefits when they need them, like when they receive a diagnosis and treatment plan for an acute illness (e.g., the flu, a broken bone, etc.) and have questions. They can use the treatment decision feature that provides support from a physician over-the-phone or by instant message for their immediate illness or injury. This is just one of the many ways workers benefit from Grand Rounds.
At-home COVID-19 tests
The member section of the COVID-19 page on our website now includes details of how Concordia Health Plan members can get the cost of at-home COVID-19 tests covered by their pharmacy benefits carrier. The process is different for each carrier, so help us make sure your workers have the right information to care for themselves and their families.
